![]() ![]() Swappable: Guillaume’s Face & Herald of Zakarum + Pdiamond for smite/ubers, dual Dream for default `zeal` playstyle Grief phase blade, Chains of Honor, Dracul’s, Verdungo’s, Gore Rider, Highlord’s, Raven Frost and Bul-Kathos’ ring, anni. ![]() Gear is pretty standard end-game zealot/smiter gear: The setup is a lvl85 paladin (96 skill points) as follows:ġ) 20 Fanaticism, 20 Sacrifice, 20 Zeal, 20 Holy Shield, 1 Smite, 1 Charge, 1 Vigor, 5 Resist Lightning, and 8 filler points.Ģ) 20 Conviction, 20 Sacrifice, 20 Zeal, 20 Resist Lightning, 1 Holy Shield, 1 Charge, 1 Vigor, 2 Salvation, 11 filler points. ![]() ![]() To get a better feel for what you would be losing out on, I decided to run some quick numbers. Obviously for the smiter/zealot combo the preference is 1), but the online discussions say damage output seems better with 2) due to reaching your zeal ias breakpoints with Grief so higher Fanaticism has diminishing returns, while reducing enemy lightning resistances has an immense impact on damage against enemies close to 100% resistances. So to that effect I decided to experiment with the dual-dream holy shock setup, after saving up a bunch.įrom what I read there are two philosophies:ġ) Staying physical: boasting Fanaticism yourself and getting an A2 Might merc with Infinity for the lvl12 Conviction aura.Ģ) Going electric: boasting Conviction aura yourself and maximizing Resist Lightning for +12% dmg per lvl synergy, and (optionally) having an A1 Faith merc for Fanaticism. The downside I’m facing is the large groups of physical immunes in hell. It’s something about the physical damage that I really like, there are so many complex modifiers for it that it feels very thought out in the game - but also allows to play the one-point wonder smiter for ubers in the same character. Big fan of a physical (fanaticism) zealot. ![]()
